Benefits of Membership
Being a member in the Wachusett Kennel Club enables you to learn about all aspects of dog ownership from some of our area's most successful owners/breeders. Members exchange their knowledge of breeding, genetic testing, selecting the "keeper" puppy, training and analyzing that puppy, grooming and conditioning, and competing in American Kennel Club conformation events, performance events or field and herding events.
We hold four general member meetings per year, each of which includes
an educational program designed to expose you to an aspect of the dog
world. For example, our club's recent programs have included a
demonstration of Search & Rescue Dogs, discussion of the
differences between Penn Hip and OFA evaluations for hip dysplasia as
well as a Canine Reproduction presentation.
Membership dues are very reasonable – currently $15 for individuals or
$25 for a couple membership per year. As a member, you'll receive our
quarterly newsletter, The F.I.D.O., make new friends in other breeds,
and expand your horizons about the world of purebred dogs. What a deal!
